JP Nicoletta Promoted to Chief Operating Officer of USA Weightlifting

COLORADO SPRINGS - USA Weightlifting is excited to announce the promotion of JP Nicoletta to Chief Operating Officer. In this new role, he is responsible for core pieces of USAW’s operations, including membership, coach development, events and sponsorship, and compliance.

“Weightlifting has been a central part of my life since I was 16 years old. Taking on this role, 32 years later, is an honor beyond description. I’m appreciative of the opportunity, the experiences and all those who have inspired and mentored me along the way,” Nicoletta said. “Being a part of this sport is special and I’m happy to be a part of the HQ team that remains committed to doing all we can to help USAW members experience the unique joy of participation and challenge that weightlifting can deliver.”

Nicoletta has been with USAW since 2018, and previously served as the Director of Coach Education/Sport Development.
