BIPOC Community Scholarship Program - USA Weightlifting offers a limited number of tuition scholarships to qualified BIPOC coaches to attend either the Level 1 or Level 2 Coach Certification courses. Scholarships are awarded through participating WSO’s.
- USA Weightlifting offers a limited number of tuition scholarships to qualified BIPOC coaches to attend either the Level 1 or Level 2 Coach Certification courses. Scholarships are processed and awarded through participating WSO’s on an individual basis. The scholarship covers the tuition cost of the certifications. Any travel-related or non-tuition expenses are not covered. Scholarships may only be applied to new purchases and may not be used retroactively. Entry Fee Hardship Fund - For members facing financial hardship, but wish to continue in the sport.
Scholarship Fund - Fund to assist our elite and talented athletes who are transitioning from high school to college by providing an environment that is appropriate to their continued development in the sport.
National Referee Fund for Women - Scholarships for technical officials looking for advancement in the sport.
Women in Coaching Scholarship Program - USA Weightlifting offers a limited number of tuition scholarships to qualified female coaches to attend the Level 1 or Level 2 Coach Certification courses. USAW Youth Coaching Scholarship - You can find the application here
- In addition to completing the USAW Level 1 course, coaches must complete the online USAW Coaching Fundamentals courses by which are designed to help support youth coaches build their skills in helping athletes excel on and off the field.
- Tuition scholarships are available on an ongoing basis Once the scholarship is at capacity, an update will be posted online. No more than three scholarships will be awarded from the same organization/club/program to ensure broad distribution of opportunity. Scholarships may only be applied to new purchases and may not be used retroactively.
- Recipients must be US citizens, at least 16 years old, and coach underserved youth.
WSO Coach Education Scholarships - USA Weightlifting partners with the WSO committees to provide a limited number of tuition scholarships for the Level 1 or Level 2 Coach Certification Course. These scholarships are chosen by the WSO committees and offered to Women and BIPOC members. Please click the link to see if your WSO is participating.
